Heatless Repair of Samoan Man Bronze Sculpture at Field Museum, Chicago

The challenge was to straighten it out as best as possible without the customary use of heat.

To preserve the patina, no heat would be used in the repair of the bronze.
Instead Guido Schindler fabricated a custom press to slowly & carefully strighten out the blade.
